2. The 6:00 pm service will NOT be held on Sunday, May 11 in
observance of Mother's Day. Enjoy the time with your family!
3. A new Sanctuary Sunday School class will begin on May 18
(from 10:00-10:50 am). Pauline Waller will be teaching on the
Gospel of John. If you have not yet committed to growing in
Sunday School, please consider attending this class each
week. No sign up is required.
4. Attention all health care providers and those interested in the
well-being of our church body: The 3rd Annual Body and Soul
Health Fair will be held on Sunday, October 5. Please forward
any suggestions or ideas to bobbijo_hudson@yahoo.com. And
for all of you who have been involved, please contact Bobbi Jo
to sign up in advance to reserve your table for the event.
5. Blood pressure checks will be given after each morning service
on Sunday, May 11 in the Resource Room. No advance sign up
is required.
6. To the families of 2008 high school graduates: The Youth
Ministry would like to congratulate you and your senior on this
important milestone in the life of your family. We would also
like to celebrate with you by inviting you to a banquet in their
honor on Friday, May 30. The banquet will be held here in the
Youth Worship Center beginning at 6:30 pm. If you would like to
attend, please RSVP to Shirley Barton in the church office
(ext. 105) by May 18.
7. Volunteers are needed to help with painting and finishing a
Habitat for Humanity house, here in Winchester, on Saturday,
June 14. If interested, please call Rodney Gibbons at
540-722-9000.
8. Kids Konnection in Washington, DC is renovating their kitchen
facility. They are in need of volunteers who are skilled at
mudding drywall. If you are interested in helping, please
contact Pastor Bryan at ext. 201.
9. The men’s softball season is underway. Come out to the
ballpark and cheer on our team! They have two games this
week, both at Roper Field in Clearbrook Park: Tuesday,
May 13 at 7:30 pm and Thursday, May 15 at 7:30 pm.
