Kent Woodward serves as our Care Pastor and has a heart and passion to administer care to everyone he meets. He works directly with his wife Sue, who is the Ministry Assistant. Kent and his family have been members since 1996 when they moved to this area from Hampton, Virginia. They have five wonderful children: Wesley, Amanda, Matthew, Austin & McKenzie. They are also foster parents who have had many children in their home.

Before joining the staff at WCOG, Kent worked at Costco Wholesale for over 18 years. During this time, he served his company and employees as a senior manager. While working for Costco he received credentials to pastor through the Church of God. He has also earned his Music Pastor's license and is currently serving as a Chaplain for The Frederick County Fire & Rescue and Police Department. Kent graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing Education and is ordained through the Church of God.

Kent has served in many ministries at this church including: Choir, Praise Team, Ensemble, Youth Staff, Youth Praise Team leader, Small Group and Section Leader, and he is a part of The 2009 and 2010 Romania Missions Team. Since assuming his new position in 2006, he has worked diligently to achieve great growth within the Hope Again Care Ministries. He believes that Hope is for everyone, and he vows to always share it with those God places in his life and within his ministry.
